List of Places the Fuller Center has Worked on
Did you know that we have built throughout the whole greater New York City area? For 35 years our faithful volunteers and supporters have helped us to build our first home in Larchmont and most recently finishing passive homes in Chappaqua. However the evolution outside of Westchester has included us in working on thousand of hurricane and flood homes in Queens and most recenly, in Highalnd Falls, Southbury and Fort Mongomery. From building a house in a week on national tv in Yonkers with Bob Vila to taking a lengthy time to rebuild an 1840 church into two passive home condos, a church totally trnasformed and on the tax roles, our vital work continues and we have only just begun!
Plus with our NMU (No More Ugly) Neighborhood revitalization Model, we have transformed not just the lucky homeowner, but have created pocket parks, rehabed our neighbors homes, donated our beautiful planters to bring back life and color into neighborhoods, created community gardens, rehabed community centers and faith partner centers, and much more! (millions of dollars of worth of work that changes neighborhoods)
Down below you can view and interact with all the places we have worked on or are currently working on:
The Types of Unique Construction We Have Completed And Unique Materials Used
We have used materials ranging from Hardie siding, blue jean insulation, deep cellulose, Dow styrofoam, low VOC paint, rain screens and triple pain windows for our passive homes. We also utilize Solar panels, hardie planks to last longer on our homes, Structured Insulated Panels (SIP panels), metal roofs, and built many unique types of walls and homes.
They include Passive Homes, Structured insulated panels homes, concrete SIP homes, and unfinished modular homes as well. We are most grateful to donor partners of materials from Millcreek to TF Andrew Carpet One..the Cotton Inc industry for donating for 17 years.
Recycled blue jean insulation is a type of insulation that's made from leftover denim fabric. It is an eco-friendly and non-carcinogenic alternative to conventional insulation. It has a high sound absorption capacity due to its microstructure that traps sound waves. It can be used for both renovation and new construction projects.
